Hall of Fame

In 2004, at the Annual Christmas Party, nine long time members of the Peachtree City Running Club were inducted into the newly established PTCRC Hall of Fame.  Since that time, seven additional members have been added.  It is the intent of the club to induct two or three eligible members each year.

Initially, the selection committee was made up of members of the PTCRC's Executive Board.  After the first year, Hall of Fame members gradually filled three spots, each selected for three year terms, along with two Board members, chaired by the Club President.  The three non-board positions on the Committee are staggered terms with one vacancy occurring each year.  The President shall nominate members and the entire Executive Board shall elect them.

The nominating committee consists of the Club President, one other member of the Executive Board, and three current members of the Hall of Fame on a staggered rotating basis.

To be eligible for the PTCRC Hall of Fame, persons shall have:

1- A minimum five years as a member
2- Made significant contributions to club
3- Normally have served in leadership roles for the club
4- Respect by club membership
5- Served as a positive role model for club members and presented a favorable image to the non-running community
6- Have been a recipient of RRCA Volunteer Award (can be concurrently awarded)

No current member of the Executive Committee (Board) is eligible in that year.

The inductees are announced at the annual Christmas Party. Individuals are awarded with a plaque, and one PTCRC plaque will be established with the names of all members belonging to the PTCRC Hall of Fame.
