Club History

Founded in 1981, our club has grown to be one of the largest running clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. With over 100 miles of cart paths in Peachtree City, you are bound to run into someone you know eventually (pun intended!). We have members from all walks of life, ages and abilities.

Monthly Meetings

The Peachtree City Running Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month with the exception of July and December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are currently held at Line Creek Brewery at 150 Huddleston Rd in PTC.  Actual meeting place is usually announced via e-mail and posted on our web site.

PTC Classic

The Peachtree City Classic consists of two different races: 5K and 15K Open. All races are on certified courses. The course was voted the Best Course by Georgia Athlete Magazine.

TUESDAY, September 8th
Partners II Pizza – Back Porch at Braelinn Location (270 S Peachtree Pkwy, Peachtree City, GA 30269)
5:30 PM – group run begins (varied paces, distance 3-5 miles)
6:00 PM – arrive early to eat (back porch) from 6-7pm
7:00 PM – Club Meeting 7-8pm
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GRAND PRIX SERIES 2026-2027
It’s back again for the 22nd consecutive year!!  That’s right, most of the Elementary Schools in Fayette County will be hosting 5K runs throughout the 2026-2027 school year.  The more you participate, the more fun you have, and the better chance you have of winning or placing in your age group overall.  So come check it out if you haven’t yet done so.  Remember, you can’t do them all unless you do the first one coming up on Friday, September 11 at Kedron Elementary. 
MONTHLY RUN SOCIAL – SATURDAY, 12 SEPTEMBER

The September MRS will consist of an out and back run from Peeples Elementary School parking lot (153 Panther Path, Fayetteville, GA 30215).  The time will start and you will have to do two exercises then take off.  The course will be marked with the white sign with the arrows on them placed on the road and path.    When you get to the turnaround, you will check in and do two more exercises and return.  Exercise routine will be assigned at the start and at turn around station.  The goal is to have equal times out and back.  Mileage will be disclosed AFTER the run. Since it is essentially a consistency run with exercise stations, we will not tell you distance in advance. It won’t be long. No watches.
ALZHEIMER’S WALK – SATURDAY, 3 OCTOBER
 
Once again, the Peachtree City Running Club has a team for the Alzheimer’s Walk which is on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Cathy Olson will be collecting donations at the August and September meetings. You can also donate to this worthy cause online using the link below.
