Club History

Founded in 1981, our club has grown to be one of the largest running clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. With over 100 miles of cart paths in Peachtree City, you are bound to run into someone you know eventually (pun intended!). We have members from all walks of life, ages and abilities.

Monthly Meetings

The Peachtree City Running Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month with the exception of July and December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are currently held at Line Creek Brewery at 150 Huddleston Rd in PTC.  Actual meeting place is usually announced via e-mail and posted on our web site.

PTC Classic

The Peachtree City Classic consists of two different races: 5K and 15K Open. All races are on certified courses. The course was voted the Best Course by Georgia Athlete Magazine. Plan on 10/18/2025 for the race.

The famous PTC Running Club Summer Track Classic Series is back again this year!!  Our ever-popular Wednesday evening track meets are happening again this summer.  May 27, June 3, 10, 17; Championship – Tues, June 23 & Wed, June 24.  We still need additional help with the Championships on 23 & 24 June.
 
We need YOU to help make this another great year for running kids and their families in our community!

MONTHLY RUN SOCIAL – SATURDAY, JUNE 20
Summer solstice shell party 🐚⛱️🤿
Celebrating national seashell day and official beginning of summer!
Time: 0800 (8 AM)
Location: The Fred Brown Amphitheater
What: Guess your time for route (maps provided day of). Collect a seashell from volunteer along the route to bring back.  Estimated distance will be 2 – 2.5 miles.
Extra points: wear your best FAMILY APPROPRIATE Summer vacation/pool party gear 
(Lei, Hawaiian shirt, straw hat, snorkel, pool floats, sunglasses, beach ball, visors, flip flops, sand buckets, etc)
*must run/walk with accessories and return to the Fred with them in order to receive the extra points*
RIDE THE PTCRC BUS TO THE PEACHTREE 10K ROAD RACE, JULY 4th
Enjoy hassle-free round-trip transportation from Peachtree City, GA, to the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4, 2026! If you are registered to run the Peachtree Road Race 10k on July 4th, then also register to ride with us! We’re continuing our tradition of chartering two buses for club members (first dibs) and local runners (starting May 13 & until sold out). Bus riders will be seated in order of bus registration, with no distinction between the first and second buses.  Register using the link:

July Virtual Monthly Run Social with Extra Point for Summer Track Series (STS) Volunteerism

The July MRS is virtual again this year, to accommodate the busy summertime activities.  Points are accumulated as follows:

To receive 50 Points:

  • Run anywhere and any distance from July 1st through July 8th only. 
  • Take a picture of yourself during the run and send it to me with your name and date of the runto pcotemiles@gmail.com.  Your email must be received before July 15th.
  • ** If you are taking the bus to the PTRR, you can just check-in with me before boarding the bus to receive your points.

To receive Bonus Points – up to 65 additional Points:

  • 5 Points:  For wearing club gear during your run (and in your picture)
  • 10 Points:  For each eveningthat you volunteer at the Summer Track Series (May 27, June 3, 10, 17, and 23 & 24).  You will receive 10 points for each evening where you sign-in on the Volunteer Sheet at the STS Registration Table and work the event.
